Fillco Marketplace LLC (“Fillco,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Fillco marketplace, where customers buy ownership shares of livestock and crops and other products raised by local producers. We respect your privacy and are committed to handling your personal information responsibly.

This Privacy Policy applies to information we collect through our website, your account, and the orders you place. By using the marketplace, you agree to the practices described here. It should be read alongside our Terms of Service.

Information you provide

• Account information — your name, email address, and password when you create an account.
• Order information — the products and shares you purchase, order history, and any notes you include with an order.
• Shipping information — the recipient name, postal address, and contact details needed to deliver your order.

Payment information

When you pay, your card details are entered directly with our payment processor, Stripe. We do not collect or store full card numbers on our own systems. We receive limited details such as the card brand, the last four digits, and whether a payment succeeded.

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your account and authenticate you when you sign in.
• Process your orders, payments, and any scheduled balance payments.
• Arrange storage, packing, shipping, and delivery of your order.
• Send transactional messages such as order confirmations and shipping updates.
• Send newsletters or marketing messages when you have asked to receive them; you can unsubscribe at any time.
• Respond to your questions and provide customer support.
• Operate, secure, maintain, and improve the marketplace.
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and other harmful activity.
• Comply with our legal obligations and enforce our terms.

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to run the marketplace, including:

• Service providers — companies that process payments, handle shipping, host our systems, and send our email on our behalf (see Section 5).
• Producers — when you order a producer’s product, we share the order and fulfillment details that producer needs to prepare and ship your order. Producers see only the orders that relate to their own products.
• Legal and safety — when required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Fillco, our customers, or the public.
• Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

We rely on trusted third parties to provide parts of our service. Each receives only the information needed for its role and is expected to protect it:

• Stripe — payment processing and storage of payment methods for scheduled balance payments.
• Shippo — shipping rates, labels, and tracking.
• Supabase — database hosting and account authentication.
• Resend — delivery of transactional and newsletter email.
• Vercel — website hosting and privacy-friendly usage analytics.

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your cart and preferences, and understand how the site is used. Essential cookies are required for the marketplace to function. Analytics help us see which pages are popular and where we can improve.

Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings. Disabling essential cookies may prevent parts of the marketplace, such as signing in or checking out, from working properly.

We keep your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the marketplace. We also retain order and payment records for longer where required to meet legal, tax, accounting, or dispute-resolution obligations. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.

We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please keep your password confidential and contact us if you believe your account has been compromised.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
• Delete your personal information, subject to legal exceptions.
